Hello!
Meet the Team

Owner/Chief Veterinarian Dr. Rob Bruner grew up around animals and veterinary medicine. His father was a longtime veterinarian in Harlowton, Montana. Pursuing a love of medicine, Dr. Rob graduated from the University of Montana then served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Malawi (Africa) for more than two years. After graduating from Colorado State University’s Veterinary Medicine & Biological Science program in 2000, he practiced for three years at an all-animal clinic in Flagstaff, Arizona. In 2003, he brought his new bride, Cynthia, back to the state he loves. Dr. Rob and Cynthia developed a plan for a small animal clinic that would meet all the needs of small animals in a compassionate environment, and in 2005 they built Big Sky Pet Center. At home Dr. Rob is surrounded by animals and a couple two-legged critters (Kyra and Ret), and no matter what time of year it is, when he’s not home you can bet he’s fishing.

Michelle started with us in the Fall on 2018. She was born and raised right here in Billings, MT. She always had a pet while growing up but seemed to be more of a dog lover. Lily is her Min Pin mix who is the apple of her eye! She loves to go for walks in the park with her and watch movies cuddled up together on the couch.

Nicole is one of our awesome Vet Techs that has been here since Winter of 2014. She went through the Penn Foster Vet Assistant Program to get her certification. She was born in Ohio and moved here about eight years ago. In her down time you will find her out camping and fishing with her

Seren started with us in August of 2019. She was born and raised in Chisago City, Minnesota. She had dogs while growing up and brought home every stray cat she could find; along with bunnies and a few fish. At first she was interested in being a dental hygienist but always seemed to find herself back at another clinic with animals. In her time off she loves to read, do art projects, hang out with her bird and do anything outside if it’s nice enough.

Shanna started with us Spring of 2019. She grew up in a small town playing in the river and exploring the prairies of North Dakota. She had all sorts of animals growing up such as dogs, cats, chickens, quail, turkey, lizards and any other animal rescued; wild or domesticated. Along with the love for animals, she gives comfort in times of stress. She keeps things fun and new in her life; from going to new places or stores every week or going for a road trip to enjoy Montana’s many views!
